"The Victory Garden"
A poster Beth produced, The Victory Garden, was purchased by publisher Fredi Perry in Cannon Beach. It was obvious to Perry that Beth learned of Victory Gardens from her grandmother, Mrs. Donald Serry, and mother Patti Serry-Hendrickson, lifelong Kitsap County residents. In addition to inspiring the book's title, she created the original, full-color dust jacket for the book portraying a woman in the middle of a vegetable garden, wrapping around to floral gardens. More than 50% of the vegetables consumed in the United States during WWII came from backyard gardens.
Beth also illustrated "Gifts from the Heart" by Random House.
